Asheville Holistic Physical Therapy was co-founded by Libby Hinsley, PT, and Ruth Elliot, PT. Libby and Ruth share a vision to provide comprehensive Physical Therapy treatment that acknowledges that the body functions as an integrated whole, and the human system also functions as an integrated whole. Successful treatment will address these relationships. We offer standard Holistic Physical Therapy, as well as Holistic Pelvic Health sessions.

Physical Therapy

Located at Homegrown Families Education Center,

We specialize in adult orthopedic, pelvic floor, and women’s health concerns and offer advanced expertise in yoga therapy, manual therapy, postural awareness, neuromuscular training, and pregnancy/postpartum treatment. At each visit, you spend your entire session one-on-one with a Physical Therapist without interruption. Because we are able to give you our full attention at each visit, our typical patient makes progress quickly, and requires less frequency of treatment than is typical at most outpatient PT clinics.

  • Initial Evaluation

During your first visit, we chat all about you – your goals, your interests, and your concerns. We do a thorough physical exam including strength, flexibility, mobility, movement quality, and myofascial tension. We suggest a plan of care to address your needs. If time permits, we start treatment.

Initial Evaluation is 90 minutes – $135 investment

New Patient Information

  • Follow Up Treatments

Follow up treatments may be anywhere from 60-120 minutes and will include manual therapy, movement, home practice suggestions, and self-massage training as needed to decrease pain and optimize function based on your particular needs.

One hour follow up session – $95 

One and a halt hour follow up session- $125

Two hour follow up session- $160

Follow Up Treatment Packages available:

3 sessions – $90 per hour

6 sessions – $85 per hour

9 sessions – $80 per hour

*Accessibility is important to us! Each week, we offer a percentage of our patient slots on a sliding scale basis. Please contact us if cost is a barrier for you!

  • Payment and Insurance

Payment is due at the time of service in the form of cash, check, or credit/debit card. We do not bill insurance companies for Physical Therapy services, however you are welcome to use your Health Savings Account to pay for services.

  • Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We require a 24-hour notice to cancel your appointment. Otherwise, you are responsible for a $30 cancellation fee.
